Adventures on the Gorge lodging

Rustic cabins, glamping tents and hot-tub houses on the north rim, a short walk from rafting, ziplines and the Canyon Rim overlook.

At Adventures on the Gorge, the rafting bus, the zipline towers and the gorge rim are all right outside your door. The resort sits on the north rim at Lansing, just off US 19 near the Canyon Rim Visitor Center, and its lodging runs from $129 shared-bath rustic cabins to four-bedroom Cabins on the Gorge with private hot tubs from $519 a night (2026 starting prices). Aramark Destinations has owned it since July 2024. Book here if your trip is built around the resort's own river trips and ziplines and you'd rather walk to breakfast than drive to the put-in.

Cabins, glamping and hot-tub houses: what each one costs

You've got seven kinds of lodging to choose from: deluxe lodging, hotel-style cabins, loft-style cabins, rustic cabins, glamping, RV and campsites, and vacation homes. The prices below are the lowest "starting at" figure for each unit, so think of them as floors; weekends and peak dates run higher.

Starting prices per night before tax from the resort's unit pages, September 2026. Live prices vary by date.
Tier Example unit Beds Bathroom From
Rustic cabins Rustic 4-bed Sleeps 6: 2 full beds, 1 twin bunk set Shared bathhouse; bring linens and pillows $129
Hotel-style cabins Kaymoor 1 king bed In cabin $189
Hotel-style cabins Sunnysides 2 queen beds In cabin (shower and tub) $239
Glamping Glamping tent 2 queen beds, linens included Bathhouse listed $229
Loft-style cabins Sportsman 7-bed Loft with 3 full and 4 twin beds, plus a futon Not stated $249
Deluxe lodging 1-bedroom Outback 1 king, 2 twins, 1 queen sleeper In cabin; private hot tub $319
Deluxe lodging 2-bedroom Outback 1 king, 1 queen, 2 twins, 2 queen sleeper sofas In cabin; private hot tub $369
Deluxe lodging 2-bedroom Cabin on the Gorge 1 king, 2 queens, 1 queen sleeper, 1 twin sleeper In cabin; private hot tub $489
Deluxe lodging 4-bedroom Cabin on the Gorge Sleeps 12, per the resort In cabin; private hot tub $519

Two tips. The rustic cabins are exactly that: "four walls and beds (linens and pillows not included)," in the resort's words, with showers and toilets at the family campground's shared bathhouse, so pack a sleeping bag and a pillow. And at the top end, the math favors big groups: the four-bedroom Cabin on the Gorge sleeps 12 from $519, only $30 more than the two-bedroom at $489. Fill it with friends and you'll pay less per person than a couple in a hotel-style cabin.

Check-in times, pets and house rules

Check-in is 4 p.m. and checkout 10 a.m., and "in season (May through October) we do not allow early check-ins or late check-outs," says the resort FAQ. On a rafting day that means your morning trip wraps up before the cabin is ready, so keep dry clothes in the car, which the FAQ cheerfully suggests using as your locker. The resort is cashless, except for cash tips for your guides.

Dogs are welcome: $75 for the first and $25 for the second in deluxe, hotel-style and loft cabins, or $25 each in the rustic cabins, two at most, under the guest policies. Glamping tents have been listed as not pet-friendly, while campsites and RV sites take leashed pets. There's no dog-sitting while you're on the river. Group rafting prices add 6% state tax and a $6 activity fee, so ask about any lodging fees when you book.

Rafting, ziplines and more right on site

This is the reason to stay here: the fun starts where you slept. A full day on the Lower New River starts at $139 a person (ages 12 and up), the TreeTops zipline canopy tour at $84, and Gravity Ziplines at $104, with a longest line of 3,150 feet. The Canyon Falls pool is open Memorial Day to Labor Day, so it's closed in fall. The same company runs the New River jet boats at Hawks Nest State Park, and on Friday, October 16, 2026, it hosts Taste of Bridge Day from 5 to 9 p.m., a tasty warm-up for the big day. What guests say about the cabins

Reviews on TripAdvisor follow a clear pattern: the guides, activities, views and location win the praise, and the lodging collects the complaints. Guests mention small or tired Kaymoor cabins, odors, plumbing and heating trouble, cabins not ready on time, sparse furnishings and housekeeping lapses, and several say the prices run high for the finish. Rafters also grumble about a disorganized check-in. If the cabin itself is the heart of your trip, compare a Lansing or Hico cabin company for the same dates.

Getting there and what's nearby

You'll find the resort at 219 Chestnutburg Road (County Route 60/5) in Lansing, just off US 19 on the north side of the bridge; some listings say Victor, but it's the same place. Bridge Walk's headquarters is "just across highway 19 from Adventures on the Gorge and walking distance from the New River Gorge National Park Visitor Center," the resort says, meaning Canyon Rim. Downtown Fayetteville and its restaurants are just across the bridge to the south. On Bridge Day, October 17, US 19 closes over the bridge from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., so guests here spend the day on the north side.

The gorge's other big resort, ACE Adventure Resort, is on the south side near Oak Hill, with a lake and a different mix of cabins. Still weighing bases? See where to stay.
